The skeleton meditated every morning.
Not for enlightenment.
Not for inner peace.
Mostly because standing up too quickly felt unnecessary.
Other creatures spent their days worrying about calories.
The skeleton found this fascinating.
It had successfully avoided calories for years.
The results were admittedly extreme.
Still, consistency deserves respect.
By afternoon, the skeleton was usually meditating again.
Several animals assumed it had discovered an ancient secret.
It had.
Whenever life became complicated, the skeleton simply sat down and waited.
Most problems eventually wandered off looking for someone with actual organs.
The skeleton considered this a highly effective system.
And perhaps its greatest achievement.
It had become the calmest creature in the forest through a complete lack of nutritional ambition.
At some point, the skeleton stopped asking whether meditation worked.
The evidence was sitting right there.
No appetite.
No deadlines.
No snack emergencies.
Just commitment.
