Writing to remember, sharing to inspire

Exodus 12

Nightfall had never been so loud.
Across Egypt, cries pierced the darkness — deep, aching wails that carried through the wind like a broken song. Fear had visited every house. Every door that once promised safety now felt like a threshold to loss. But in the midst of the chaos, somewhere under the dim light of oil lamps, another kind of silence lived — the silence of faith waiting for deliverance.

Inside those Hebrew homes, people sat fully dressed, staffs in hand, hearts pounding not with fear, but with expectation. They were not hiding from death — they were waiting for salvation. The smell of roasted lamb filled the air, mingling with whispered prayers. A red mark, brushed upon each doorway, glowed faintly in the flicker of firelight — not paint, but promise.

No philosopher could have reasoned it. No scientist could have explained it. Yet every drop of that lamb’s blood spoke of a covenant — of a God who sees, remembers, and redeems. On that night, the first Passover was not a religious ritual; it was a turning point in human history — the night hope itself learned to breathe through faith.

What Egypt saw as tragedy, Israel experienced as transition. While some buried their dead, others prepared to be reborn — not as slaves, but as a people set apart. That night, God didn’t simply pass over Egypt; He passed through despair, dividing belief from unbelief, obedience from rebellion.

Centuries later, the echoes of that night still whisper through the corridors of faith. The shadow of the lamb became the shape of the cross. And the same question that hovered over Egypt hovers still over every heart today: Will you stand behind the blood — or beyond it?

This is not just a story about ancient deliverance. It is about the strange alchemy between faith and hope — how trust in God transforms fear into freedom, and darkness into dawn. Every generation faces its own Egypt. Every heart must paint its own doorpost. And every soul must choose whether to wait in fear — or to walk in faith.

Whoever you are—you are putting words to the hope and desire of each human heart–to be seen, to be known, to be loved! Thank you. Truly–Thank you!!
