Writing to remember, sharing to inspire

Dreams have always stirred human souls — from kings who sought meaning in the stars to shepherd boys whose sleep was a canvas for divine whispers. In Genesis 37, a young dreamer named Joseph saw sheaves of grain bowing before his own, and stars bending in reverence. His brothers saw arrogance; heaven saw destiny unfolding.

When Jesus later spoke of the wise builder who set his house upon the rock, He wasn’t giving architectural advice — He was revealing spiritual engineering. Both Joseph and Jesus teach us that what endures is never random. A life founded on God’s word is like a fortress carved from purpose, unmoved by floods of jealousy, betrayal, or famine.

In Joseph’s time, dreams were not illusions or psychological quirks; they were divine messages encoded in the language of the soul. When the same vision came twice, it was not a coincidence — it was confirmation. Pharaoh’s double dream of lean and fat cows proved that what God speaks, He establishes. Joseph didn’t just interpret dreams; he partnered with God’s strategy for history.

But not everyone appreciates a dreamer. Joseph’s brothers despised what they couldn’t control, just as many rejected Jesus for speaking truths that made them uncomfortable. Both men carried divine favor that exposed human pride. The more they shone, the more others’ shadows stretched long and dark.

Yet, rejection didn’t end their story — it activated it. The pit was a tunnel to the palace; the cross a bridge to resurrection. Both Joseph and Jesus were misunderstood rulers, destined not only to reign but to redeem those who betrayed them. In both cases, what men meant for harm, God re-engineered for blessing.

So what about us? We stand between dream and reality, blueprint and construction. God still gives visions, but only those who build on His word can see them endure. The world’s storms will come — famine of hope, winds of deceit, floods of fear — but those anchored to Christ will remain unshaken. The question is no longer whether God still speaks; it’s whether we still build on what He said.
