When Hearts Lose Direction

Psalm 23:1–2, John 14:27, Isaiah 30:21

Intro:
Sometimes the heart forgets where home is. Paths blur, voices confuse, and peace feels distant. Yet the Shepherd still calls. His words are simple: “My peace I give to you.” Not as the world gives, but as heaven breathes — calm, guiding, and sure, leading the lost back to still waters.

Truth:
David wrote his psalm while hunted, not safe. His peace was found not in the pasture, but in the presence of his Shepherd. When Jesus spoke centuries later, promising peace, He echoed David’s melody. History remembers this truth — peace is not a place, it’s a Person.

Quotes:
“To be calm is the highest achievement of the self.” — Zen Proverb
“You will never find peace by avoiding life.” — Virginia Woolf

Conclusion:
Peace is the compass that points the soul home. It does not erase the wilderness but teaches how to walk through it with grace. When hearts lose direction, Christ’s peace draws a quiet map — and every step becomes prayer.

Today’s Challenge:
In a distracted world, many wander without knowing they are lost. We chase meaning but lose center.

Today, stop. Listen. Return to the Shepherd. Real peace doesn’t shout; it whispers. And those who listen will find their hearts remembering the way home again.

So meaningful and so timely for us all, Livora… to “listen to His still small voice.”
