Chosen and Carried: The God Who Never Leaves

Abraham’s story begins not with comfort, but with a call. God told Abram to leave his homeland and walk into a future he could not see. It was a journey that required trust, courage, and surrender. Just like Abraham, we too are called to step away from what is familiar, believing that God’s promise will lead us to life.

Every step Abraham took was a reminder that faith is not about certainty, but obedience. When God chooses, He also guides. Abraham’s obedience was not perfect, but it was real—built on a fragile yet growing trust in God’s unchanging word. This is the beginning of a divine relationship between the Eternal and the human heart.

Abraham’s call reminds us that divine purpose often begins with discomfort. Leaving behind the known for the unknown tests our heart’s loyalty. Yet, through uncertainty, God’s voice whispers, “I will show you.” Every promise of God requires movement—one step at a time toward His unseen faithfulness.

This story echoes through time. From the sands of Canaan to the souls of believers today, God still calls ordinary people into extraordinary faith. When He chooses us, He also carries us. Our weaknesses may tremble, but His strength holds steady, like a hidden anchor beneath life’s storm.

In the same way, the Apostle Paul prayed that we might “grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ” (Ephesians 3:18–19a). This prayer bridges Abraham’s faith to our own—rooted in love that outlasts all fear, guiding us from our failures into God’s fulfilled promise.

Faith, then, is not a moment—it is a movement. Abraham’s life proves that when God chooses, He never abandons. He sustains through fear, famine, and failure, until His purpose shines. To be chosen is to be carried, and to be carried is to be loved beyond understanding.

Apostle Paul prayed that we might “grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ” A prayer that makes us not to look at ourselves with limitation but look at God who keeps filling us with unlimited love that we cannot even grasp. Amen
