Jehoshaphat: The Man Who Found Favor
2 Kings 3:14
2 Chronicles 17:3–5
Psalm 84:11
Jehoshaphat was a man whose heart leaned toward God. He was not flawless, but he walked in reverence. Elisha said, “If I did not respect the presence of Jehoshaphat king of Judah, I would not even look at you.” That single statement revealed a heavenly mystery — divine favor can turn judgment into mercy.
His existence is historically verified through both biblical and archaeological evidence. Chronicles and Kings describe his reforms, his commitment to God’s law, and his refusal to bow to idols. He built spiritual strength, not merely political alliances. Through him, Judah experienced peace and God’s protective favor for a season of grace.

Conclusion:
Jehoshaphat teaches that divine favor is not earned through perfection but received through direction — walking faithfully toward God even when others stray. His presence turned a doomed alliance into a rescued mission. In every dry valley, one God-fearing soul can still attract divine attention and change the outcome of an entire generation.
Today’s Challenge:
In our time, many seek success without surrender. We crave blessings yet avoid obedience. To regain favor, we must learn Jehoshaphat’s rhythm: humility, worship, and consistency. A generation that honors God privately will see His power publicly. Favor is not random — it follows those who walk close to the Giver Himself.
