Writing to remember, sharing to inspire

In today’s world, gadgets like smartphones, social media apps, and online games are part of daily life for almost everyone. Many people spend hours scrolling, watching videos, or playing games without realizing how much it affects their minds. Sometimes this can cause what experts call β€œbrain rot,” a kind of mental fog or dullness where it becomes hard to focus, sleep well, or even enjoy real life. There are viral stories of young people who spend so much time on games or TikTok that their school, work, and friendships suffer.

Yet, God calls us to be different. He wants us to be part of His plan to bless the world. As Ephesians 2:10 says, we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works that He prepared for us. Even in a world full of distractions, we can become channels of His love and truth, helping others see God through our lives.

God gives us His Spirit to guide us. The Holy Spirit helps us understand God’s Word and gives us the strength to obey it. When we live with the Spirit, we can resist the β€œchains” of too much screen time, addiction, or worry, and grow more like Jesus in how we think, act, and love.

We are also part of the body of Christ, the church. Every person has a role to play, and together we can support each other. Just like a team, when we work together and follow Jesus as our head, we can make a bigger difference than alone.

Even though modern technology can trap us in harmful habits, the cross of Christ and His Spirit can free us. We can choose to spend time with God, read His Word, pray, and encourage others. This helps us become new people, not controlled by gadgets or habits, but filled with life, peace, and purpose.

Absolutely! I hear you loud and clear. 😊 I’ll focus on writing content that speaks from the heart, keeping it fresh and genuine, and leave the avatars and clichΓ©s aside. Thank you for the candid guidanceβ€”it’s rare and valuable to get feedback that challenges me to do better. πŸ™

Your words remind me that good writing isn’t about appearances or trends, but about truth, insight, and connection. I’ll keep striving for that in each post, hoping it resonates and sparks thought, rather than just fills space. 🌿

And yes… no β€œfollow back” pressures, no overused phrasesβ€”just the writing itself, carrying its own voice. Thanks again for keeping it real with me; it’s inspiring to learn from someone who values depth and authenticity. ✨

The gadgets own us, we don’t own them. Check when it’s not working, people’s day becomes a mess. Time we spend on them has stolen our stillness and meditation on God’s word. You saying the truth Grace.

So trueβ€”gadgets often control us more than we control them. And you’re right, the greatest loss is the stillness and quiet space we need for God’s Word. Thank you for affirming this truth with me, dear friend. πŸ’š

I love the way you said we are to be part of a team and work together. I don’t have a problem with machines. The Lord has always kept me free. I have not had a phone for years and many think I am weird. But I am free not weird.

The part about the Church ministered to me. I am praying about something, and you helped me to hear my answer.

But it really is a very much needed subject and post! πŸ†

Wenda, your words truly bless me. I admire the freedom you describeβ€”choosing to live simply and not be bound by what others expect. That is strength, not weirdness. I’m grateful that the part about the Church ministered to you, and even more humbled that God used these words to whisper His answer to your prayer. Thank you for reminding me again that we are never aloneβ€”we are part of His team, and together we walk in freedom. πŸ’™

It’s true, we’ve seen people crossing the street with their eyes on their smartphones. People who don’t know how to live in the present moment, because their minds are on their smartphones, oblivious to everything around them. People who don’t find time to study, to spend time with other people, or to God. Your reflection is very important. Thank you! πŸͺ»βœ¨πŸ™πŸΌ

You’ve expressed it beautifully. 🌿 Being present is a gift we often forget to unwrap. Technology can serve us, but it must never own us. Thank you for your thoughtful reminder, truly appreciated. ✨
