The Name You Carry

Christmas is many thingsβ€”soft lights, familiar songs, warm gatheringsβ€”but at its deepest pulse, it is a revelation. Not only of who God is, but of who you are in Him. From a manger in Bethlehem to a cross on Golgotha, Jesus tore down every false narrative and invited you to step into the identity heaven always intended. Throughout this journey we’ve traced how identity can be forgotten, dimmed, distorted, or stolenβ€”but never erased. Not when the One who formed you still calls your name.

The world will continue offering labels: too much, not enough, overlooked, replaceable. But Christmas answers every one of those claims with a single truthβ€”the God who became flesh has already spoken a better word over you. You are crafted with intention, filled with light, pursued with love, restored by grace, and known by the Voice that does not confuse but clarifies.

Identity is not something you earn by performance or protect with perfection. It is a gift received and a relationship lived. And when you walk in the name Jesus gives you, something remarkable happens: the world becomes a little less dark, a little more hopeful, a little more aware that heaven has visited earth.

So carry this truth with courage. Let it steady you when doubts whisper, strengthen you when the past resurfaces, and anchor you when the world grows loud. You belongβ€”not to fear, not to culture, not to your failuresβ€”but to the One who calls you precious, beloved, and His.

And if ever your heart grows uncertain, return to Peter’s confession and make it your own:
β€œLord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.”

Because identity begins with His voiceβ€”and it is sealed by His love.

You said something so important about identity…it made me think that we should align ourselves with our essential identity and not with labels, titles…or ego… Thank you! Have a good week! πŸ€πŸŒ²βœ¨πŸ™πŸΌπŸŒ…

This is powerful and so true.
Christmas reminds us who we really are in Him, chosen, loved, and held.
Great reminder to walk in the name He gives, not the labels the world tries to put on us.
