Trust Journey
John 11:15 – “Now you have another opportunity to see who I am so that you will learn to trust in me…”
Romans 8:28 AMP – “And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose.”
2 Timothy 3:16 TPT – “Every Scripture has been inspired by the Holy Spirit, the breath of God.”

Introduction
The story of Lazarus is timeless, not only as a miracle but as a masterclass in trust. Jesus invites us to trust Him even when the situation looks hopeless, even when our circumstances appear shattered beyond repair. In John 11:15, He frames these moments as opportunities: “Now you have another opportunity to see who I am so that you will learn to trust in me…” These are sacred lessons often hidden within trials, teaching us to lift our eyes beyond earthly chaos into the wider purposes of God’s kingdom.

Historical and Biblical Validation
Jesus’ ministry consistently demonstrated teaching through lived experience. His interactions with Lazarus, Mary, and Martha illustrate a deliberate method of divine pedagogy: allowing human difficulty to reveal God’s character and faithfulness. Similar patterns emerge in the ministry of Paul, who endured imprisonment and persecution yet repeatedly emphasized that hardships reveal the trustworthiness of God (2 Corinthians 1:8-10). These historical and biblical testimonies confirm that God uses earthly circumstances to train our hearts in reliance upon Him, deepening intimacy and understanding.

Quotes
A.W. Tozer, “What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us.”
Helen Keller, “Security is mostly a superstition. Life is either a daring adventure or nothing.”

Conclusion
Jesus desires a relationship built on trust, not mere observation of miracles. Trust is cultivated when we walk with Him, invite Him into every circumstance, and lean into His Word as our final authority. The process is repetitive and lifelong—walking, surrendering, learning, and discovering His faithfulness. Through this, we not only witness God’s goodness but are trained to believe in the unseen, eternal realities that surpass temporal circumstances.

Modern Challenge
In today’s world, trust is often measured by visible results and immediate outcomes. Many struggle to see God’s hand when circumstances appear bleak, and this fosters doubt or impatience. The challenge is to engage in a conscious practice of walking with Jesus, inviting Him into every part of life, meditating on Scripture, and speaking faith over circumstances rather than the limitations of what is seen. Only by intentionally choosing to trust can we learn to experience the fullness of His promises and grow in intimacy with Him.
