The Mystery of God Now Revealed

Living Word
Ephesians 1:9–10 — “He made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, to be put into effect when the times reach their fulfillment—to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ.”
Colossians 1:26–27 — “The mystery that has been kept hidden for ages and generations, but is now disclosed to the Lord’s people. To them God has chosen to make known the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.”
Romans 16:25–26 — “The revelation of the mystery hidden for long ages past, but now revealed and made known through the prophetic writings by the command of the eternal God.”

Hidden Mystery

God deliberately kept His plan concealed through the ages. The Old Testament revealed shadows and glimpses, but not the full picture. Prophets and kings longed to see what we now know, yet the veil remained until Christ.

The Reason for Concealment

This mystery could only unfold at the cross. Only through the death of Jesus was the door opened. His crucifixion displayed the wisdom of God hidden from rulers and powers, and His resurrection confirmed His eternal victory.

The Resurrection as Birth of the Church

The resurrection was not simply Jesus rising again—it was the moment the Church was born. Just as Eve was formed from Adam’s side while he slept, so the Church was brought forth through the pierced side of Christ, emerging as His living Body.

The Church as Extension of Christ’s Power

Jesus, raised and exalted to the right hand of God, now shares His authority with His Body. The Church is not a weak imitation but the living representation of Christ’s resurrection power on earth—His voice, His hands, His presence among the nations.

The Church as Christ’s True Counterpart

The mystery finds its climax here: the Church is to Christ what Eve was to Adam. “Bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh.” Equal in essence, drawn from His sacrifice, the Bride is His counterpart, His Body, His partner in glory and mission.

Wisdom Echoes

“The Church is the earthly dwelling of Christ’s resurrection power.” — Augustine
“The mystery of Christ in you is the hope not only of your soul, but of the world’s redemption.” — Andrew Murray

Summary Truth

The mystery once hidden is now revealed: Christ crucified, Christ risen, Christ dwelling in His Body, the Church. This revelation is not theory but reality—He lives in us, and through us His authority continues on earth.

Present Challenge

Why does the Church often appear weak and divided? Because many believers forget the mystery they embody. The challenge is to live as Christ’s true counterpart—walking in resurrection power, not human strength. Only then will the world see the unveiled glory of God’s eternal plan.
